Changing the wax filter is vital to your regular maintenance, as it unblocks a lot of the build-up, which contributes to your difficulty hearing.

It can be especially intimidating dissecting your own hearing aid, especially after reading masses of technical jargon on the internet, which leaves you feeling overwhelmed.

Our team of experts has carefully demonstrated an easy step-by-step process that allows you to confidently change and clean your hearing aid, ensuring it removes any excess dust or dirt.

You can watch the video tutorial on how to change a wax filter by clicking here.

Removing The Wax Filter

Firstly, remove the dome, using a piece of tissue for grip, and you should be able to see the white adjustment on the hearing aid – this is the wax filter.

Taking the removal tool, use the open-ended side to insert it into the wax filter, and without twisting, pull it straight out.

Using the other end of the removal tool, push the new wax filter into the empty hole, and it should go in at ease.

Replace The Tip Of Your Hearing Aid

Next, grab your new, clean dome and push it in place on top of the wax filter while making sure to check underneath it is securely in place.

You have now successfully changed your wax filter.
