One of the first hearing aids ever produced were the electric Acousticon devices produced by Oticon in 1904.
A partnership formed with Charles Lehman led to the development of the American-Danish Oticon Corporation, which became a leading provider of hearing aids after World War II and achieved worldwide distribution by 1965.
The company’s first in-the-ear (ITE) hearing device for greater wearing discretion was introduced to the public in 1977, followed by their first digital device in 1996.
Improved sound sensitivity along with streaming and connectivity capabilities were offered by Oticon in 2007.

Connectivity in combination with the Genie app also enhances fitting, counseling, and ongoing support from your hearing care provider without the necessity of an in-office appointment.
