Many people are intimidated by cleaning their hearing aid and are afraid of damaging it further, especially as it is such a delicate item.
However, our team at Jacobs Audiology has established a high level of trust serving our patients and comprises experts in hearing aid repairs.
Using our knowledge gained from many years of experience, we’d like to pass this on to you and provide you with the tools and resources to clean your own hearing aid, ensuring your device is working at its optimum ability.
What You Will Need
- A removal tool
- Clean hands – to ensure no dirt gets into the device.
Using your removal tool, look for the clear section on the top of the hearing aid, push under this button gently, and it should pop up.
This will allow you to take the receiver out, the wire that connects it to your ear, by simply pulling it.
Grab your new receiver and push it into place, using the same button to press it down, allowing it to be secured in place.
