Ricki Gemmel
Ricki Gemmel earned her Bachelor of Science degree in communication disorders from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in audiology from Florida State University.
She has experience working as a clinical audiologist in private practice ENT groups as well as hospital settings such as Lewistown Hospital in Pennsylvania and Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Ricki is a fellow of both the American Academy of Audiology and the Maryland Academy of Audiology and is licensed by the Maryland State Board of Examiners in Audiology.
Ricki has a passion for meeting her patients’ hearing health needs through thorough diagnostic audiology, aural rehabilitation, and appropriate amplification.
Reconnecting people to each other and the world around them by giving them the ability to communicate easily and effectively is what she enjoys most about being an audiologist.
Having a son with hearing loss since the age of five gives her personal insight and empathy regarding the importance of properly managing hearing loss by considering the whole person and his/her individual requirements.
Ricki and her family have called Southern Maryland home for the past twenty-three years and appreciate all the outdoor recreation, fairs, festivals, and fun the area has to offer.
