Features and Innovations of ReSound Hearing Instruments

The first open-standard digital chip, released in 1992, introduced improved programming flexibility for ReSound hearing aid wearers. Limiting the discomfort of a plugged ear canal experienced by some hearing aid wearers and the enhancement of natural sound was accomplished in 2003 with their first open fit design.

WDRC (Wide Dynamic Range Compression) to provide better sound level adjustment and DFS (Digital Feedback Suppression) helped regulate the input intensities and eliminate the feedback and distortion issues that made for an uncomfortable hearing aid wearing experience.

ReSound manufactures hearing aids that are smaller, lighter, and more discrete to wear without sacrificing quality, clarity, and performance thanks to their micro-digital technology innovations.

Using 2.4 GHz technology (Bluetooth) linking your hearing aids to iPhone and Android devices, as well as other digital devices, for enhanced sound quality and clarity is also available in ReSound hearing instruments. Combined with the Remote Assist app, patients can submit programming feedback to their hearing instrument specialist to improve programming adjustments and technical support without the need for an in-office appointment.
