Originally Maryland Special Project No. 1, Greenbelt, MD, represented a historic milestone in urban development as a cooperative community whose residents were selected through a stringent and restrictive process.
Bordering the Beltway, today’s Greenbelt is not as restrictive, especially when it comes to being connected to Washington DC via the DC metro system, Metrobus system, and the Baltimore-Washington Parkway. Along with its status as a National Historic District, our community features Greenbelt Park, Buddy Attick Lake Park, and Schrom Hills Recreation Center, where you can relax and enjoy a taste of nature.
